Privacy

WhichDay is built to need as little about you as possible. This page says what it keeps and who can see it.

What we keep

The event: its name, the days offered and, if the organiser added them, a host name, a note, a time and a place. Each answer: the name (or none), the emoji and the days picked, with the time it was sent. We do not ask for accounts, email addresses, phone numbers or payment details.

Who can see it

Anyone with an event link can see that event and all of its answers. The organiser’s Manage link is private to the organiser. Search engines are asked not to list event pages, but a link shared in a public place can be read by anyone.

Cookies and local storage

Two small cookies per event: one that marks you as its organiser (kept for a year) and one that lets you edit your own answer. A copy of the second is kept in your browser’s local storage in case a browser blocks the cookie. A language cookie remembers English or Chinese. There are no advertising or tracking cookies and no third-party analytics.

Your connection

To stop abuse, the number of events one connection can create in an hour is counted using its IP address. The count expires after an hour and is not stored with your event. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, handles requests and may log IP addresses under its own policy.

Where it is stored

On Cloudflare, in the Asia-Pacific region.

How long, and deleting it

An event and its answers are kept until the organiser deletes the event (Manage, then Delete event). Deleting erases the days and every answer for good. Nothing is deleted automatically yet.

If you are the organiser, use Delete event.
